Jet Lag Defeated.

After a sleepless night last night, I think my inner clock is finally on course again after today. We met with the florist for the wedding first thing this morning, followed by the photographer, and then a lovely visit with Sharbel's piano mentor Rieta.

We also took some time to wander a local mall (boasting a store with Canadian made clothes...), check out our new gym home, and of course check out one if my favorite lookout points in Haifa on the way home:

I've been told the cable car is just a little too sketchy to be fun, and decided I liked  driving down the mountain much better.

Rounded off the night at the ever-awesome Douzan, a cafe/restaurant on the main strip that I highly recommend to any tourist in Haifa. Thanks for the complimentary cake and whiskey! :)

Wedding Nonsense Begins!

After a brief rest and some beach time...

...Sharbel and I spent today with various wedding appointments, including the tasting and the decor at the absolutely fabulous hall:

Tomorrow's to-do: florist and trying to find a gym! :)

Happy Canada Day from Haifa

Sharbel and I landed in Tel Aviv safely this morning around 11am (or 4am for you guys) and are now relaxing and trying to recover our strength to begin enjoying Haifa. The weather today is a perfect and balmy 30 degrees and the sunshine is phenomenal.

Here's a picture of us in Pearson yesterday waiting to board:

And here's a picture of the aftermath of our 10 hour flight (plus some wicked awesome hats):

Hopefully we'll get out to the beach for a walk later tonight when it's cooler, but for now, rest!

Here's the beautiful view of Haifa and the Mediterranean Sea from Shar's parents' home:

Happy Canada Day to all of our friends back home!! We'll be celebrating in absentia :)

An Introduction of Sorts

Hello wonderful friends and family!

As you all know, my husband Sharbel and I (AAHHH I JUST SAID HUSBAND) are off to Israel as of Sunday to start preparing for wedding number 2. As much as I would love to, I know I won't be able to keep in touch with everyone as much as I'd like to. So, I decided that instead of frustrating myself and disappointing all of you, I would instead start a blog. I like the idea of keeping some sort of record of our travels and adventures this summer, and I like it even more because I'll be able to easily share it with all of you!

So, be prepared for regular updates beginning on Monday! I'll try my best to include lots of pictures when I can. I make absolutely no promises for updates during our Italian honeymoon, however ;)

Ciao for now!

xoxo
Lynn
